Is it possible to make and add custom models like houses? And with what program do i have to do this?
-
You need a program that can export it's models to .b3d, .3ds or .x. You could youse 3DS Max or Milkshape.

Okay... I am not that skilled with models. If you know some things about it, could you help me?
In the models of this game i see one text file, one bmp file and one 3DS file. Does the BMP and text come with the exported model with a modeller program or something?
-
No, the .bmp is either a texture or the icon. Icons can be easily made by the render function of 3Ds Max or with externals programs. I suppose that the text files you mentioned are the sys files.
Unfortunately I don't have much experience with modeling, but I think some Users from unrealsoftware.de can help you out.

Wait, one more little question. The sys file, do i have to make that myself? And the reason i don't want to ask help on that website is that i saw a post from 2007 on the 3th row of the first page... Doesn't sound very active to me... Or i was on the wrong website or something. Oh wait, i just saw it's an B3D file, that text file.

The sys file contains the objectitemunit data. http://www.stranded.unrealsoftware.de/s2_mods.php (http://www.stranded.unrealsoftware.de/s2_mods.php)
If you already have a model you would like to use, just copy an entry from the sys file, change the ID an the model path.
-
Huh, wait. I just modelled a building. Now in what file do i have to add these settings? And like what...? Someone on unrealsoftware.de said in buildings_inf, but the ext mod doesn't have this file...
-
First, you have to add the data in one of the objects.inf. Just copy one of the data sets inside the objects_ext_buildings.inf an change the ID and the model path.
-
Yeah, but in the sys folder there is only a buildings.inf file. Nothing else with buildings. Wait, OBJECTS. Sorry.
